Overview

Decora Blind Systems, operating multiple customer order platforms, recognised a pain point for its end customers: disjointed access to their orders placed on various systems. The challenge lay in offering these customers a unified, intuitive and efficient platform to view, analyse, and manage their orders in one place.

Tapping into the versatility of the Laravel framework, Ascend devised a centralised portal tailored to meet the needs of the end customers. Acting as a data warehouse, we seamlessly pulled and consolidated order data from the different systems, providing customers with an aggregated view of all their orders, irrespective of the platform they were placed on. Furthermore, the platform facilitated real-time access to pricing, allowing customers to download this data for offline use. Essential materials related to their orders were also made readily accessible for download.

A standout feature was the implementation of Single Sign-On (SSO) capabilities. Using the MyDecora portal as an Identity Provider (IDP), end customers could effortlessly transition between the integrated systems without juggling multiple credentials. This ensured a fluid, secure, and unified experience across the board.

The transformative effect of the centralised portal was immediately palpable. End customers lauded the unified order view, streamlined access and the SSO feature; indicating a significant enhancement in their user experience. For Decora, the reduction in customer service inquiries related to order tracking and access issues was a clear indicator of the project’s success. By prioritising the end customer’s experience, Decora has helped bolster its relationship with its clientele, reinforcing its image as an innovative and customer-centric organisation.
